Your brick story

I am so glad this week is over.

It has felt like a rollercoaster ride like I have not had - not because of work although there was more than enough of that - but because I have achieved things this week that I didn't think I was emotionally capable of - and because of the worries over the little unborn boy who is so much in my heart and thoughts as are his mums - and because of a close encounter with a person who I really do think has the most evil beliefs of using humans for capital gain - and because I have been tested by my daughter who so much wants to wear makeup to school and I will not allow her - and who thinks that I make up rules that are unfair - and because my son doesn't understand why guns are not allowed in this house, and because I am just human and not had a great week.

Oh I am so glad that it is over - hopefully I will sleep this one off.

Oh yes, this week was just normal - too many unplanned meetings at work - most of which should have been predicted - trying to finalise a 12 month action plan for more than 300 contibutors - none of whom seem to understand the concept of strategy well, daughter home for three days with chest infection, son who woke me every night in need of a cuddle, submissions to a productivity commission but what irks me is that I went in on Monday to write one key paper and it kept getting lower and lower down the list. Pretty good week really. But mainly because I feel that I'm back in my own skin! Nothing like it. I don't mind it busy - just as long as there is a sense of organisation :) UM
