  There is a school of thought in the field of psychology that if we are physically/emotionally/ or sexually abused in our childhoods then we will think there is something wrong with us.

  This tape in our head ( "I dont deserve any better " , or "I am no good" ) are played often as we the victim struggle with our inner demons.

  I have met women like yourself at ACOSA meetings, and elsewheres in groups where we are dealing with this issue.

  I hope you will learn to live life with out those false tapes, and without the self harm .

  You are a worth more ...so much more...in so many ways.

  Thank you for your words, which I know makes sense. I am starting to feel that I can begin to deal with the tape, and indeed haven't self-harmed for about a month now which feels good.
