Christmas is my very favorite holiday. I love it like nothing else ever existed. I love the lights, the decorations, the peacefulness, the feeling of togetherness, the tradition, the happiness ... Once decorations start getting put up around me, at stores, at home - anywhere, a complete different feeling runs through me, a happier one, a calmer one.

I didn't celebrate Christmas as a child. We started after my parents got divorced, I was 13. Once I was able to buy for others, it made it wonderfully better.

Christmas things are starting to be put up all around me ... my mood is shifting. I feel like I want to spend more time with family and with friends that feel like family. I think I am a decently generous person, but when the season hits, I believe I become doubly generous ... just because I 'feel' it. I feel different towards others, I feel warmer towards others. I wish I felt this way all year long!

The list of people I will buy for has been written and ideas for their gifts are constantly being added. Christmas music is quickly being added to my you tube account. I'm listening to it as I write this. Plans for going to NYC for the tree lighting is in progress - oh so beautiful, even more so because my two favorite artists will likely be singing - they have for the last few years.

I know a lot of people don't like it being talked about so early, but I simply love it. How can you not enjoy the feelings that come with it? Unfortunately I am not into the religous parts of it, but never found that to be an issue. I will say gladly that I am pretty happy that I have fewer people to focus on this year for gifts ... which makes me excited because I can spend extra time putting together the ones that I will be giving. If only some of the important ones lived closer ;0)
