Your brick story

This is not my friend or I, but it practically describes our night perfectly ... although you must put a few bottles of Smirnoff in front of us! Okay, so more me than her ... as far as I can go back in memory, she was pretty sober!

Last night I went over to my friends house after work ... we got drinks, chips and salsa - that's all that you really need to have a good time!

I love her to pieces, she is the only one who won't think I'm entirely weird for text messaging her while we travel the same highway to the same destination! We text back and forth until we got there and headed in. She caught up with her girls and husband and I kind of randomly wandered around and played with her daughter and made jokes with the other. Her husband was stood up by his friends, I felt bad. He went to bed after that and we took over the living room. I felt bad about that too.

I am not sure if it was my sleepiness, lack of real food yesterday or the alcohol or a mixture of everything, but I was completely out of it. I felt drunk, but know I wasn't - they were only wine coolers. Her youngest daughter was feeding me my drink - too hilarious ... peer pressure! I unfortunately cannot remember much of what I said or did, although I know I fell asleep with a drink in my hand on her couch. Before I knew it, she was pulling it out of my hand and giving me a blanket. I'm pretty sure I possibly might have came onto (flirted with) her - not quite sure. Either way, it was hilarious!

I had a blast ... it's those quiet but fun nights that you long to have. I don't think I've had a busy but fun weekend like this in a while.

This morning she had to go to work and I didn't. I stayed and played with her daughter for a while - playing Barbies and Bratz ... Little People ... you know, all the 5 year old things! (Her husband and oldest daughter were sleeping!) Oh, we read books as well. One was of music - oy I hate singing! Each page was a different song and she told me to put my finger on a page to save one of the songs til the very end. I asked why and she said that her mom liked the song ... so we sang it over and over and over at the very end of the book. It was way too cute!

It's straightforward. A problem, a doubt, a question, that keeps coming around me. What is living? I don't even know what...
