Your brick story

I was checking into some volunteer work overseas this afternoon and as I quickly checked in on Peru (where my father and family is from) ... I realized I would really like to volunteer there as well as China.

And with that, I realized that I would also like to really adopt from both. Apparently children that are over 7 are considered special needs children and you can practically scoop them up and take them. (I know it's not that easy, but it seems to be much easier than younger adoptions.)

This little girl kept showing up on their website, page after page - picture after picture. I think she is adorable and cannot imagine "leaving" a child like her there until she outgrows the governmental system.

Dreams are becoming clearer and clearer ... now where I will get all the money for these adoptions - I HAVE NO IDEA! I know that in Peru, fees go down when it's a special needs child to almost half, the referral time is also very quick, months rather than years. I also know that because I am half Peruvian, that they will look at my application before the others. (The last part probably isn't fair, but it is what it is.)

A smile currently slowly growing on my face. Dreams - they are nice to have!

That's lovely Inspire - keep looking ahead.
And I think don't think there is anything unfair about being considered favourably because you have peruvian options - I think it is important for the children to be with people who they feel "like" UM xx
