  aww :( poor baby girl. the real suck thing is that...broken hearts never get easier to deal with. but, at least she has you, which is more than enough. you're stellar at mending broken things.

  It makes me sick that her mother doesn't even see it...how could you be so blind to one of your children hurting? I just don't understand it at all. I would be so angry at myself if I found out later that my quick fix hadn't worked and that I missed out on helping her get over this huge thing in her life. The first broken heart is such a milestone and such a big deal to a young woman and I hurt for her because her "real" mother isn't even there for her during this time. It makes me want to scream.

  I understand that. Today a friend of my daughter came around - a bit of a home alone kid that spends a lot of time with us - and she was brought by an uncle and a friend who were obviously very drunk. Made me want to scream at her mom when she came to pick her up but i didn't of course. Can you encourage her to talk to her mom? Sounds like you are doing a great job - good she has someone there for her. hugs roze
