Your brick story

Well, my son is autistic, as i had memtioned before, but his dr, performed a battery of genetic tests because my son has defective or missing myelin in his brain...i took good care of myself while pregnant...but you know, genetics is something that seems so out of our control.
He is a happy kid, he is doing well, but what we need to find out if this missing myelin is going to progress (leukodystrophy) or if its just a defect.
I won't find out until may..it seems so long! I'm going to die!!!

What takes so long about it - do they have to monitor something over time? Just horrible to have to wait - it is so disempowering somehow.

Hello roze! Well, the thing is that the blood samples are sent out of state, som eof the bloodwork cannot be done here because they simply don't have the technology here to do it, and the dr, is usually swamped with appointments, you have to really plan ahead to see him anyway...but yes i feel like i'm just going to go crazy!

Is the dr a specialist in autism? We are not going to let you go crazy - just keep talking and putting your feelings on bricks and we will get there somehow!
