  the trick to parenting is that...it's constantly a learning experience. sometimes bad days happen. you can't always be that 'perfect' mom (trust me on this, it drives my husband batshit) and if you try, if that's what you constantly strive for, you'll only stress yourself out. the problem with perfection is that people forget that there are a thousand different ways. hug her often. kiss her often. tell her often how much she means to you. don't forget her and she'll know that you did the very best you knew how to do. after all, that's all you can do-- the best you know how.

  SPK - what a beautiful child and such a beautiful name.
  Being a mother is unbearably hard and it is so easy to beat yourself up about it. We think we should be able to do better - but we do our best - really, if we were perfect, would they love us any more?

  She is golden by name. There is only one thing we can be with our children - and that is give them and attention - that they feel really seen and heard by us. It is not rocket science and yet nothing else replaces it.
