Your brick story

I have too much time on my hands at work and have wanted to ask this question all day! Wonder if anyone has any idea . . . and no I don't know the answer! :))

Lovely question --- we should ask Swon who does wonders with these sorts of questions about Big White Wall. rx

This is a reality - what do you mean if they were real?

I don't know if there is a standard brick size but here it would be something like 24 cms long - or about 9 1/2 inches. There are 8936 bricks on the wall at the moment - 2144.64 metres which is the equivalent of 2345.4 yards or 1.3 miles if each brick was laid length by length.

Maybe swon can do the hard stuff about the height and breadth of the wall. I reckon we have enough bricks to make a really good sized hall for all of us to gather in :)

Sorry, I meant real, in the physical sense! If we all met up, what a party that would be!

Perhaps a census of people on the Wall - because I think it is hard to know how many people come here for a rest but do not participate.

But I wonder if they would party!

Have you added your details to "where in the world are you?" it helps swon to know which country we are all from...

It would be the most interesting party i ever went to - well actually it feels like that some days here any way!

That's true Roze. I reckon if we all got together, we wouldn't know what to say! Some of the stuff here is so deep, it would feel odd doing party talk! I'm off to add me details now - um x

I find myself wondering if I could add up all of the people and the averages of height and breadth of people if we could use the bricks as a shelter for the party room.

But then I am not really a party people person so why am I doing this. I think it could be very funny to gather all of the wallers together because we wouldn't know each other unless we had avatars stuck on our foreheads!

I'm giggling, just at the thought of that! Have you changed yours? It's really pretty!

I think it would be funny - yes I try to change mine with the seasons - haven't been on the wall for a full year - though sometimes it feels like years - in a good way though. I always choose petunias because I would always sing a kids song because I always felt a bit like a "lonely little petunia in an onion patch".

Now that would be funny if we all changed our avatars and still went to the party!

Would it matter as i assume it would be a masked ball anyway?

I've never heard that song, but it sounds cool - we haven't got many onion patches in London!!

This party is going to be mad - masked ball with different avatars . . . mmm - just how do I make a toucan beak?

Oh I hadn't thought of a masked ball - but we could all hop onto a 2nd life site and that would be an interesting way to attend the ball - and much cheaper for you also because I think we would have it over here in Sydney where the weather is a bit warmer!

Last time i was on a second life site i got so scared i flew away. I guess it would be easier to design a toucan beak virtually - otherwise i suppose you start with the inside of a toilet roll and a lot of imagination?

or maybe a wire coat hanger and chicken wire?

I want to know how I can keep a patch petunias alive while I am wearing them and dancing. I wonder just how much your rose will cover roze and blueangel - being poorly sighted I think not only do think it is your toucan so it is not just a beak you want but the whole bird outfit UM xxx
