Your brick story

This afternoon i was feeling quite swamped by everything i had to do. I sat back in my chair and shut my eyes - slowly this feeling of enormous energy grew - and with it this image came into my head - one of the most beautiful places i have ever been on earth - now nearly 20 years ago. I have a lot of drive - and some time this year - when i have reached some goals - i am going to take that drive and put it behind a wheel of a convertible and make that trip again.

Big Sur California. I had fixed to do this with someone from LA last year and i bottled out at the last moment. Now i realise that this is just something i really want to do for myself. Last time was with an ex lover - in a vintage 50s car - driving up from LA to San Francisco to meet my new lover. It was a bizarre, fun and adventurous trip - not least as my friend is such a crap driver. In LA with four mad women in the car all shouting to go in different directions she drove straight up on to the middle green of a huge roundabout. Then in Frisco on the back of a motorbike driven by a mad man doing wheelies at the top of all the big hills and later sitting on a rooftop with the whole city beneath us getting bombed. It really was a wild time. My friend still lives just outside Frisco and it is way overdue i paid her a visit - although i guess we both have (somewhat) calmer lifestyles these days!

I could almost imagine it as you described it and it sounds like an awesome time. Times like those are so memorable ... You just put me in a more upbeat mood ... so much to look forward to.

That sounds great. You should totally do it. Don't think about the implications of it, and just do something for yourself. :)
