  I assume you have been told you ARE pretty but you have found yourself unable to accept it. I wonder why not. Would you be able to accept that you are a lovely person at heart. And if someone loves you does it matter whether you are pretty or not.

  Or perhaps you just need a LOT of re-assurance.

  my mom has never said i am pretty to me.. ive always felt like the ugly duckling.. although ive been told i am i still dont believe it much from other people. theres only times when i myself feel pretty and those times are few and far between..
  btw, you have beautiful eyes!!

  Very often, the best looking women are more critical of their looks than the average looking women. The fact that you hear it, and doubt it tells me that you probably are very pretty, however, I believe you when you say nothing anyone writes here will make you believe it.

  You have apparently chosen to disbelieve it. That is your choice, and you are free to make that choice. You are also free to make the choice that you ARE pretty, but for someone reason you don't choose that.

  People always used to tell me I was handsome. I believed it when I was little. When I grew up, I started seeing "flaws." People still told me I looked cute/great/handsome/whatever but I thought they were crazy. Now, I have come to realize that I really do look awesome! I don't care what people think or say anymore, I have my validation from within.

  Anyhow, the power is yours, and you are free to believe whatever you like.

  (although I agree with hippichic, those are some gorgeous eyes! I LOVE dark eyes!)
