  Wow, Wolfie, thanks for the welcome and the quick reply. Yes, I'm new here; I saw this web site featured in Reader's Digest and decided to have a look.

  One of the major issues working against me is money (or rather the lack of it) For the past few months, my spouse has been growling about this, saying that our 15 year-old son will soon be taking his O-Levels and going to college.

  I'm just a piano teacher and student intake has been below average for the past few years, no matter how much I try. I also play piano at a local hotel two nights a week.   Furthermore, because I am abused verbally in front of my son, HE has also picked up the bad vibes and rather quickly too, I'm afraid. Now he views me as a failure, although I do get all the bills paid in time, food is still on the table, that sort of thing.

  It seems that I am grateful for my blessings, but my spouse and son are not.

  Hello philip, reading your post it seems like you have already made a lot of progress in figuring out the causes of the unhappiness in your life. You and your wife are the glue that holds your family together and if you are not both pulling in the same direction, it will have a bad effect on your son. Could you try and talk to your wife about how you can both improve your situation? It shouldn't just be down to you and if you are the only one able to work, she should be supporting you in what you do. Wx

  im sorry about how things are going for you, it seems tough. but life can definately always be worse... i hope that your wife and son know that, and that it isn't too hard to stay at home in that environment.

  the best things in life are oft free... its ambition and greed that drive us into our destructive cores, a confortable life is a good life without escalating problems - exept bills. but money comes and goes, its the people and love and going for your passions that you can't replace.

  on a lighter note ... i also read of this site from readers digest haha =O
