  This is a bittersweet time for you. I have moved abroad for marriage and it is not easy to be so far from the family and friends that you love. Are there going to be others in your new country that you have already met and feel comfortable with? And have you got some of your family coming to visit you early next year - it does help. Rxx

  Hi lagrace625 - welcome to the Wall - you are very brave moving to another country - Hopefully you will still be able to return to visit with your friends and family and at least with our communications systems like skype and email and you will be able to keep in touch quite easily and see your family on the screen.

  But even this - as good as it is - isn't quite the same as getting that hug from family and friends that you will used to. thinking of you ant x

  Sorry for the late reply but thank yo so much for your comments. It means alot to me and has encouraged me so much. roze I was trying to put a finger on what I'm feeling and going through and I have found the words..it is a bittersweet time for me. Just knowing that helps me. thanks ant for reminding me about our communication systems that can be used too. =)

  I have tried living abroad several times. Most of that time has been exiting exploring the new possibilities in my new country. I am very much a person living now I guess that also helps but I also felt that my birthcountry was a place I had a right to and my new country was a possibility and new beginning- something extra. I loved getting mails, letters or visitors from home. You have to make an effort to stay in touch but I hope for you that you will also find moving an adventure.
