Your brick story

this brick.... deserves more backstory than any of the other's i've posted.

you should memorize what you see.

you'll be seeing it again very soon.

on dec 28th, 1997, i was thirteen. i was also a mother. on feb 11th, 2005, my son died. i won't get into specifics-- it's no one's business, really. the point is, i lost my baby boy. he was just barely 7 years old. he was my knight in shining armor. i had built a world around that little boy (and later his sister) that no one could compare to. he was, unfortunately, a witness to a lot of arguing between his father and i. if i could take that back, i would. i would make so many different decisions than i did. it kills me now that i can't. it's funny (in a not-so-haha kind of way) that you only have regret when the moment something tragic happens. i have yet to mourn him.

it's been nearly four years.

some time, very soon, that will be remedied.

the picture you see will be forever engraved on my back in black ink; the obvious exceptions being two of the angels will be boys and there will be a star instead of a skeleton. there has been enough death to last me the entirety of my life. i don't need that kind of reminder.

life is fleeting.

Dear Thrash - I am a bit stuck for meaningful words -as a mum I couldn't imagine anything worse that losing one of my children - except having to keep going in life - and yes I reckon you have had enough death in your life. Glad that you have great support from upsidedownandbackwards - thinking of you and sending you warm wishes UM xx

That artwork is amazing . very moving.
You have been through a hell of a time and to be to express your pain like that is humbling.
Having that image eternalised on your skin, is a beautiful thing to do and i truly hope it will provide the comfort you need.
I wish you lots of strength
