Your brick story

Ok, so - have had a bad day at work - and I'm dreading have to go in tomorrow. I hate the place anyway, the favouritism, the lack of support and communication, am trying to find another job, but why go from a job you hate to one you hate? I feel sick at the thought of going in, will probably be sick too - really wish something would happen, broken leg, knocked over by bus etc so that I didn't have to face it.

Oh, I'm such a wimp!

    No you are not a wimp. Sounds as if you had an upsetting experience at work today and that you are feeling bad about it - carrying it with you still? What will help you let go of what happened today and just be able to walk into tomorrow without a shadow of the past (today) hanging over you? love roze

    I do feel really bad (as you've probably guessed by all the bricks!) I'm really bad (or good) at winding myself up about things, that are in reality small - I think it's my way of avoiding the big things! I wish I knew how to let go - normally, I'm a lot better once I get there - anticipation is much worse, so at least I'm aware of that, but right now, I just don't know how to cope, hence all the bricks, which are helping! Thanks for all the comments!

If you are upset about hurting someone could you possibly just go up him/ her, look the psrson in the eye and say something like " xxx(name), I realise that I hurt you yesterdy and I'm really very sorry - have been thinking about it all night and feel really bad. Would you please accept and apology and let's draw a line under it."

    Just forget whatever the person has done to you in the past - you are a bigger person than to hold onto that, no matter what it is.

    Hey blueangel, don't say that you aren't coping because you are - it just isn't very comfortable is it.

    You are going to work and keeping yourself going with some support from here and in making your bricks. I just think it doesn't help to say you are not coping because you are keeping your life together. It's just that sometimes when we are in a dark place everything is coloured black.

    Take some time for yourself and think about all that you are really good at doing - like the support that you offer others here. There is a lot within you - and some of it might be not what you want to feel but you are tremendously generous also. You will be okay - and we will help you . ant x

    It's getting there and I'm not at work this week, which is a help. Spent most of the last few days in a major panic / stress about the fact that the depression might be back, which hasn't helped me! Thanks for being here.

    Always here. It is good to have space from work although it can give us too much 'dwelling' space. I hope you are doing some things for you this week - like treats for self! Rx
