Name the old Goat

Brick Detail

Your brick story

Moment of madness - saw the pic and thought I knew some wallers who'd be able to think up a good name for him - if inneed it's a him and not a her.

So go for it - name the goat!

Was found walking along a quiet connty road (the goat, I mean) - wonder where he was going.
Looking for a take away maybe?

I haven't been drinking - honestly!

I thought a bit of fun for a Wed wouldn't go amiss: I'm not working and it could well cheer me up a bit.

    Thanks for contributions.

I think that our Goatness is a she - what beautiful eyes she has - and strangely I think she may be called I think her name is Peace love and chocolate.

Is the 'is a she' bit a guess or based on esoteric knowledge, or what, UM?

Well I don't know - does gender really matter? I think she has a strong female aura - but I don't think that the horns really belong - she is her own goat

Gender matters not a jot - just wondered if you knew something that I didn't (about rare Highland breeds)

Well I have never known a goat to have big horns like that if they are male - females tend to have small horns I think. I suspect the goat doesn't know she has a choice.

You are really certain that this goat is a he?

I reckon the aura is pretty clear.

I am aghast. I now believe that this beautiful creature is a Sheep, not a Goat, and we have been led astray by crafty Harmony. Shame, you!

Sheepa la Dulce - stage name, and her name from birth - Doris. Doris Luddle.

So. Now you are trying to tell me that this darling crittur is not only trans-gender, but trans-species?

In which case the name, to borrow from Cherry, could be Effinate Dethel.

Hah! Wotta 'bout that, then, you lot!

I like Effinate Dethel - but I wonder why Eff is traversing the species - I can't see the sheep reference - in fact if there is a question of trans- speicies then I think she is aiming rather higher as she has eyes like a giraffe I once met - and I wonder - rather too beautiful for a sheep - but please don't tell my pet sheep that!

Harmony? You joking us, right? Doesn't EVERYONE have a pet sheep?

I keep mine out the back in the Giraffe pen.

Well yes - but you would have known this from your sister in NZ - where sheep are more popular than humans!

I don't have a giraffe pen in Sydney they removed them when they made rabbits legal - and what a problem that is - rabbits are environmental terrorists and giraffes don't do the same kind of damage - giraffes and sheep are far better companions because they don't compete for the same food. And they don't smell as bad as camels although camel poo is apparently the much superior compost ingredient because of the long digestive process - .

How do you keep your grass short?

The kids just refuse to eat mine and the dog and the cat eat only one blade at a time - connoisseurs of grass that they are.

Noone else can see my pet sheep but I know that she is there ...

She is there - you just must not look at her directly - invisible back-yard sheep can only be glimpsed out of the corners of the eyes; like a shadow under water - turn and they slip, slide, whish, away, into other shadows.

I am directely quoting here Sir Cholmondly Bettingdon-ffrench, from his definitive tome:

"The Habits and Habitats of Invisible Back-yard Sheep, and How to Retain Them In Your Garden", Harper-Collins, 1743.

Out of print these days, unfortunately.
