  No, he will undoubtedly never change. I sometimes fool myself into thinking he might, just because I want so badly for things to be the way they used to. But then I remember that the only reason I was so happy is because I didn't know what was going on around me. He will never be who he should.

  I really can relate to your brick.
  Its very difficult when your heart and head have a little battle hey. Just when the internal voice of reason reassures you that you have done the right thing, pow !! memories flood your head and your back reflecting on what could have been or could be if only this or that...
  You have made a very difficult decision and one that right now seems alien. The day will come when you can enjoy those memorys and accept your ex for all he is and couldnt be. Love doesnt always play fair, but along with acceptance comes wisdom and growth.
