Hi UM, why do some bosses or ex bosses get pleasure in being complete pratts, and others are just normal people. It's the first category that I have trouble dealing with ! I think best thing for me to do is move on and leave the crap behind, which I am in the process of doing. I have lots of support and positive friends around me, so I am lucky that way.

Doesn't it just suck? The way some people seem to get off on being mean and unkind and bad to other staff?

It destroys their workplace - causes more sick days, makes productivity fall, reduces staff loyalty, bad for their business all round - what is the MATTER with these people?

I just can't comprehend it. I am so glad that you have support and friends and that you can move on.

    Love
    Jo XXXXXXXXXxx

Jomo - for some, to be a boss is to be tough. It can be for them a way to hide their own inabilities. Some have so huge egos that they completely lose touch with reality.

Well Poppygirl, I think you are smart in moving on and leaving it behind. Sometimes doing this causes the bully more damage to their ego than I ever understood - they lose their distraction and the word gets out. It takes more than one person to change a workplace and unless every one can get together and outnumber the bullies then nothing ever changes.

It is really sick that people take pleasure from behaving in this way. - good luck poppygirl. Let us know how the new job goes. UM xx

No definate work coming in yet, but plenty of bits & pieces, probably enough to survive. I would really like something regular, but in saying that it's just a matter of moving on and adjusting your mind to the present situation ! There's a statement for you. Poppygirl xx

Well a gold star to you poopygirl! I love the statement and the attitude. Being able to be mobile and flexible in the way you are feels to me like you have a great taste for remaining free in your self. take care UM xx

We enable the bully being passive and accepting. Leaving can be the only option. Poppygirl my daughter did an internship with a company for a few months. The staff turnover was huge and before too long she realised that due to the style of management there was no way she wanted a future with that company .
Another gold star for you , Cate xx
