  she stole my car and went on a crack binge. what hurts the most is that she knew just how bad of a bind this would put me in and she went ahead and did it anyway. I am so heartsick, even know that she is in jail for stealing my car....

  how long is she in for? seems like you really care about this girl.......so apart from the crack binge - do you have a sense of how she feels for you?

  oh yeah, she loves me...that I am pretty sure of...but if you know anything about the crack addiction, the addict will choose the drug over anything and everything....kids, mom, wife, husband, whatever. A friend of mine's mom stole their presents from under the Xmas tree last year and pawned them for crack...it is an addiciton that is hard to beat.

  Yep i know. I just read on your other brick that you are a mom of three and left a relationship for her - that is really tough! I am a bi mom of one - and i find it quite a struggle being on my own with just one - it must be hard for you. How old are yours?

  3 boys, one is 2, one is 7, and one is 14...she really helped with them...before she had this relapse we seemed ideally suited for each other

  what did it feel like???...it felt like heaven...it felt like being a kid and wanting to spend all your time with that one best friend that made you giggle about the stupidest stuff. It felt like two best friends had fallen in love. I felt safe, even if it was only for a little while...now I feel stup[id, like it was all for nothing. She loves me still, that much I know. But:

  can she stay off drugs?

  Will I ever trust her again?

  Can we go on together without me throwing this in her face all the time?

  These are the questions that nag at me.....

  Sounds like you had a wonderful thing going. If you felt safe it must have been really hard when she took that safety away during a drug binge. WHat is her history with drugs - does that give you any sense of what the likelihood of her staying off them is? I guess she has to show you that you have reason to trust her again. As for what has happened, you are going to have to let it go if there is to be a future - show her at least that you are open to trusting her again.
