Your brick story

My mother has been an anorexic for as long as I can remember...she also had a panic disorder.
I pretty much had to look after myself allthose years, because this woman was un fit to give me any guidance...it was so bad that at one point she would put all her serving of food in a blender , grind it and try to eat it that way, i don't know if she did this for the purpose of making it look unedible or because she could not tolerate having food in her mouth. She had a lot of strange eating rituals. Like i mentioned before, she would get up in the morning, strip down to her underwear, an just look at herself from any angle, and she would ask me if she looked fat that day...geez! I was heavier than her!!
She didn't like to go out because she felt ugly...
I lived this for so many years...now she has chronic anemia, and bladder problems...and her mental health has drastically deteriorated, she's become a compulsive liar as well...I am just glad she's out of my life. She destroyed so much of what could've been good things for everyone, including herself. I would not allow such a self destructive person be around my child. But i learned a lot of valuable things from her, not to neglect my child, to love and accept myself and to love my child as well.

I find it really sad that your mother robbed you of that amazingly special relationship between mother and child for yourself! At least that will not happen with your child. Hugs, ROze

Wow - that must have been some childhood and kudos to you for recognising that your mother had issues. It is so easy for us to believe that our parents are perfect and just to do what they do.

Thanks guys! Actually i always knew something was wrong but once i became an adult i found out there was a name for what she had. i just thought she was plain crazy and manic!!!

My mother worries about my sister GETTING and eating disorded so much, that she is too blind to see her other daughter already has one.
