  Many things actually...fear of rejection, fear of not being understood, showing my weaknesses. I have never had an emotionally open relationship with anyone...it just seems like people dont care and yes it could be my distorted views but i cant seem to get over it.

  Don't give yourself a bad time - your views are not distorted - they are yours. Have you had experiences of being rejected - or is it more a fear that has not been realised? And i wonder what you see as weaknesses - i would probably see such things as making us human. I know it is virtual but i am taking your hand that you hold open here.   I agree, try not to be so hard on your self. It's hard to trust others when you are afraid, just give yourself some time. What you are feeling is completely normal.

  Thank you for your comments...I knew I wasn't the only one who feels this way but its still nice to see that others are in the same place...it makes me feel just a little bit less alone. But it still doesn't make it any easier. And I wish I had people like you in my life not just virtually.
