How do I find a brick by anonymous when I don't know the tags?

    Hi

I've been trying to find a specific brick  - and short of looking at every brick on the wall I don't know how to find it. Can anyone help?  the one I want is the scary, angry one of about 2 days ago.

    thanks

    Hey Harmony

The brick has been deleted. I just checked in my notifications and found the brick number and it no longer exists. Just so you don't spend hours looking. I guess you could consider posting what you wanted to say on another brick? Not sure what else to suggest. Hugs, roze

    Hi Roze

Thanks for that. I posted on it yesterday and was just curious about any further postings. I did think it may have been removed by the BWW team.

Hope you'll  have  a lovely weekend, whatever you'll be doing.

    love Harmony

It wasn't removed by The Team, it must have been deleted by the user.

    Best wishes,

Hmmm.  Yes, she was a very, very angry lady and clearly concerned about being rumbled here.  I got the feeling that things might have sorted themselves out - she said her daughter had taken the kids away.  There was a bit of argie-bargi about cultures too.  I think a TA would be a bad idea.

    Hello :) Emily!

Why not, BB? The topic could be generalized, not specificly about the family mentioned - something about culdture clashes when people marry and are now involved with another culture - I am sure that can be very difficult unless one is well prepared if the culture is vastly different to the one you've come from... What might be the pit-falls and problems? Where do you go for help or advice, since you (hopefully) don't want to inadvertantly insult another's cultural morres? We are an open Wall, are we not?

Has what you read raised questions in your mind about the issues, in general, Harmony?

    Hi Mebenji

I'm not sure what you mean by the issues in general. I saw it as a specific issue: racism

Thanks Harmony - I didn't see the specific brick - but take your point. So, what's wrong with us discussing issues about race and racism? How do we deal with them? Do we recognise any feelings of racism within ourselves - uncomfortable though they may be, and loathe as we may be to admit them - what do we do about it? How do we change our views and behaviors? We don't have to discuss any particular family to discuss racism.

    Hii Mebenji

Racism wasn't being discussed inthe brick. Racism was, in my opinion, the attitude that the anonymous person was revealing in the rant about her S i L , and I found it as offensive on BWW as Ii would have found  it had if I'd heard it anywhere else.

Alright, what do you do, how do you respond to someone you see or hear displaying attitudes of racism? Even that can be difficult to confront - just as seeing someone abuse a child or an animal...How do we respond to these difficult situations - especially when (and I have) been witness to, but felt too afraid for my own safety to intervene...that is one of the guilts I live with - that I feel myself under threat if I intevene.
