Hello Nipper, good to hear from you.

It is very pleasing to hear that even with all the flashbacks and the distress you have been able to have a good vacation - care to tell us more about the vacation? I do think it is important for you to very deliberately recount, recall, emphasise the good times, underline and highlight them by writing about them - or whatever other way you like, just don't let them fade into insignificance...so please, tell us about the vacation?? :) Not so long ago Swon and I tried to take us on a Summer Holiday for a bit of Friday Fun - You can get into the driver's seat now, and take us on your vacation? Sound fun? I hope so. You could even substitute people's real names for our Usernames!! I hope that thought makes you laugh like I am now, just thinking of it - whether I could do it too! (not that I have holidays/vacations as such - but maybe some other occasion, I might just put all you lot into my 'storrrriez by Mebenji Meheartyz' ah Ha!! :)

Hullo Nipper,  Glad your holiday was good and that you have returned home refreshed and free at least for the moment of your depression.  I hope the flashbacks didn't spoil it too much for you.  I look forward to you being around again.  BB

Hi Everyone, thanks for the welcome back.  Ok, will try and tell you about our vacation.  We live in Southern Ontario Canada. We have a truck camper which I just love, you wouldnt think that there was alot of room in them but there is.  It's just my husband and I and our dog Talon.  It even has a queen size bed which is great cause Talon loves to sleep with us.  In fact, our bedroom at home only has a double bed. go figure eh....We went through Chicago. We always go through the states because gas is cheaper.

We went to North Dakota, then on to Wyoming and Yellowstone Nat'l Park.  If anyone gets a chance to go there go, it is just beautiful.  This is our 2nd time there, and just seeing the seis pools and the colour of them its a turquois colour, and seeing Old Faithful spout out was great.  There are alot of Bison in Yellowstone, and great chances for pictures.  After Yellowstone, we travelled on to Montana, which I just love.  Just like in the old westerns.  The "Bad Lands" are magnificant.  We went to Devil's Tower, which is the inside of a volcano.  If anyone has seen the movie "Close encounters of the third kind.  They used Devils Tower in the movie.  It is so beautiful.  We travelled up to Alberta Canada to see a friend of mine, and spent the weekend their.  It was so good to see her again.

We then went to Waterton, where the scenery is so beautiful.  There are alot of deer running through the park and the town. Talon, could care less about them, he didn't even get excited about seeing the Bison.  From their we went back into the States to a small town called Medora, The shops are western style and there is a boardwalk their also.  Not far from the town is a park called Rossevelt Natl park, and it too is beautiful.  But all we saw was one Bison, so I was a little disappointed.

From their we started our travel back home, but not without a problem arising, Our tire blew and hubby was able to get the truck safely to the side of the road.  You've probably seen truck tires on the roads, the long strips of tread, well thats what happened to ours.  So we knew we couldn't stay their, so we slowly drove to the next exit and into a small town, which looked deserted.  We called the auto club, and it took 4 hours to get help.  Hubby was going to change it himself, but thought that it would be easier for them to do it, considering we had the camper on the back.  But, the finally came, changed the tire, and we were on our way.  by this time it was dark, so we camped at a Walmart, which is great, we  did this a few times.

Coming home through Chicago was a nightmare.  I thought traffic in Toronto was bad, this was worse.  It wasn't even rush hour because it was the weekend, but traffic was bumper to bumper.  We were glad to get out of that.  The border to cross back into Canada was an hour wait, which wasn't too bad.  Oh ya on our way to Montana, I was driving to give hubby a break, and thank God he was awake, and we had a higher power watching out for us.  I fell asleep while driving and didnt even hear the rumble strip.  Hubby grabbed the wheel, or we would have been dead I'm sure..

The best part of the trip was the Rockies, I love them so much, such beauty, and got a lot of pictures of snow ontop.  It was great.  I never tire of seeing them.  We did this all in 2 weeks, wish we could have had more time, because you can't stay in one spot too long,  hubby had to get back to work, Over all it was a great vacation, and I did still have my flashbacks, but kept myself busy.  Now at home, they aren coming in full force again, and bringing me down too fast.  But I have managed to stay away from the pills, but was so tempted last night, but I didn't....so thats my vacation..xoxox nippercat

Hey Nipper - I am off to find an atlas and work out where all of these places are.  Glad that you survived the blown tyre and micro sleep - very scary.  Yes the flashbacks will keep coming back for a while - but when they do maybe you could imagine droping them into devil's mountain?  When you feel more certain of coping with them I am sure they will return to you.

    lots of love UM xxx

    Ah good idea Harmony!

Requests are okay Nipper - I would love to see one of the Camper on a Truck - I don't know if it is a fifth wheeler or it is one that can be removed from the truck or it is an all in one unit.  I have a photo of our origami caravan which is my happiest home on the Wall.

And what about a photo of those pools in Yellowstone?  Is there really a yogibear?
